Dear Parents and Families,

At our March 8th class we worked on our Faith Books. We have almost completed them and we are very excited to take them home and share them with our families.

At our March 22nd class, we finished up our Vision Boards. Please look for these, they will be hanging on the walls in the Faith Formation wing leading up to the children's First Holy Communion.
**If your child missed the March 22nd class, he/she will be completing their Vision Board at the April 12th class. **

Our next class is Sunday, April 12th

Our last class is Sunday, May 31st.
At this class we will be having a First Holy Communion Celebration. Please have your child wear their First Holy Communion dress/suit for our celebration.

Our third grade classes will be held on Sundays at 12:15 til' 1:15pm. When you register for 3rd Grade Faith Formation please tell the registrar that you wish to sign up for Heidi/Erica Giebel's Sunday 12:15pm class

February 22nd

Dear Parents and Families,

**Our First Holy Communion class will be having it's last class of this year on Sunday, May 31st at 12:30-1:30. We will be having a celebration of all that we have learned over the year. Please have your child wear their First Holy Communion dress/suit for our celebration.

** Our third grade classes will be held on Sundays at 12:15 til' 1:15pm. I have had a couple of requests for us to alter the time which would make it more convenient for families who go to the 11 am mass on Sundays.  I will be submitting our 3rd grade class day/time for approval.

For our Feb. 22nd class we made quilt squares. We each were able to design our own square. Then we colored it with special crayons that when heat set, our art work will become permanent. Then our quilt will be assembled and given to a child in need.

Miss Rose is showing us what our finished quilt will look like.

Here we are working hard to design and color our squares.

We are so proud of our art work and how we are doing something caring for someone in our community!

Here are all the finished squares.

Our next class will be Sunday, February 8th.

Class Preview - February 22nd

Dear Parents and Familes,
Our next class, Sunday Feb. 22nd, will be devoted to a special project that is being done for the First Holy Communion Class. We will have a guest coming to our class to instruct us on how to create a Quilt Square. Each square that we complete will be sewn into an actual quilt along with all the squares made by all our classmates. This will create one (or more) large quilt to be given to a child in our community who is ill.

The creation of these quilts is teaching the children to be aware of others who may not be as fortunate as we are. It is showing them how giving to others and community service can really touch the lives of people in our community.

This project may run over the allotted 1 hour. Please be prepared to pick your child up between 1:45 pm and 2:00 pm on Sunday depending on how much time it takes the children to complete their quilt squares. Thank you.

February 8th Class

Dear Parents and Families,
We had a very busy last class. We began with our work books and reading the story from our work book. The story was Standing on Holy Ground. It discussed how Moses saw the burning bush; God came to him and told him that it was holy ground.

Next we worked on our Faith Books. We wrote in the groups that we belong to and our God Parents names.
Lastly, we went into the church with Miss Rose and practiced receiving the Body of Christ and the Blood of Christ. We were able to taste the un-blessed host. We were able to hold the chalice and try to sip the water that was in it in place of the blessed wine. It was a helpful experience because now we know what to expect on our First Holy Communion Day.

Our next class will be Sunday, February 22nd
See you then.
